New City Hall

Redwood City, CA

New 40,000 square foot city hall and essential communications facility for the City of Redwood City. The building was designed for an elevated seismic performance level to maintain operations following a major seismic event. Design methodology included a performance-based engineered approach utilizing the Push Over method of nonlinear analysis. The exterior full brick cladding is supported by a complete substructure of steel designed to tolerate 4” of lateral movement.
